Glossop: 89/9 [29.3]
Bamford: 90/1 [28.0]
Glossop 1XI had a weekend to forget as they fell to bottom of the league table after a convincing defeat at Bamford.
It began in the worst possible way with an injury in the warm-up ruling George Dyson out, leaving Glossop with 10 players in a crucial game.
Despite a positive start from Dan Eyre (18) and Lee Dale (20), the innings became one to forget as the visitors collapsed spectacularly.
Adil Mustafa (2/29) got the breakthrough for Bamford at 35/1, before the rest of the Glossop line-up followed in an almost processional fashion.
Skipper Will Hargreaves (22) was the only other player to reach double figures in a dreadful showing for the North Road side.
Babar Khan (3/18) and Melbourne Austin (4/37) starred for Bamford as Glossop finished on 89/9, still with over 20 overs unused.
Stephen Hunt struck early for Glossop in the reply, dismissing ex-England international Chris Schofield for 13, but that would be the only positive from the afternoon.
Samuel Felix and Mitchell Renwick took their time in pursuit of the small target, offering no chances on a good track to a now desperate Glossop side.
The pair ended unbeaten on 41* and 34* respectively, crossing the line in 28 overs and winning at a canter by 9 wickets.
